Survival Swim Lessons for Babies and Children

Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the world's safest and most effective provider of survival swimming lessons for children ages 6 months to 6 years. Backed by nearly 60 years of research, more than 15 million safe and effective lessons delivered, and the highest safety standards in the industry, ISR has helped families around the world give their children life-saving water survival skills.

Unlike traditional swim lessons, ISR provides fully customized, one-on-one instruction designed around each child's unique developmental readiness. Every lesson is personalized to help children gain the skills they need to be safer, more confident, and more independent in the water.

At ISR, safety always comes first. Our goal is to help every child develop the competence and confidence needed to enjoy a lifetime in and around the water.

Rollback to Float

Infants to Young Toddlers (approximately 6 months - 18 months)

Children learn to roll onto their backs to float, rest, and breathe independently. They learn to maintain this position until help arrives.

Most children complete this stage in approximately 6 weeks, though the timeline varies from child to child.

Swim - Float - Swim

As children become developmentally ready, they learn the swim-float-swim sequence—swimming, rolling onto their backs to rest and breathe, then continuing to swim until they reach safety.

Most children complete their initial course in approximately 6–8 weeks, though every child progresses at their own pace.
